The Trumpet of Tutankhamun

"The Trumpet of Tutankhamun is a freeware educational program for PC (Microsoft Windows). It contains a truly unique recording of the original silver trumpet from the tomb of the Ancient Egyptian boy-king Tutankhamun, who lived in the 14th century B.C. The 836 KB program presents ifself as a single window with 4 Tab-pages, titled "About", "Introduction", "Sound the trumpet!" and "View the trumpet". The "About" page is the title page (see image above). The "Introduction" page contains introductory notes on the trumpet and trumpets in Ancient Egypt in general. "Sound the trumpet!" lets you experience the actual sound of the ancient Trumpet and tells about the uniqueness of the recording, while "view the trumpet" shows you some photos. System requirements: To be able to run the program you need an IBM-compatible PC with Microsoft Windows 3.1, 3.11, 9x or NT, and a sound card. The program size is 836 KB. Downloading and installation: The file is available as a 474 K compressed ZIP-file (trumpet.zip). You need an unzip-program like Winzip to unpack the program. There is no separate installation procedure required.
