CALIFORNIA MUSEUM OF ANCIENT ART AUDIO TAPE/COMPACT DISC CATALOG: LECTURES ON THE ANCIENT NEAR EAST

"The last fifteen years have seen steady progress in Ancient Near Eastern studies, with researchers making many discoveries. During this period, the California Museum of Ancient Art (CMAA) has regularly invited the most dynamic speakers to come to Los Angeles to lecture about their findings to museum members. The CMAA is proud to present its list of audio recordings of past lectures. CMAA audio recordings bring the excitement of discovery and the wonder of learning right into your own home. Now you can hear directly from the brightest minds and foremost authorities on the history and archaeology of ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia and the Levant. There are 138 audio recordings available: 62 International Scholars Forum lectures and 13 major theme programs (totaling 76 additional recordings) including: "Invasion of the Sea Peoples and the End of the Bronze Age," "The Age of Akhenaten and Nefertiti," "Sumer the Dawn of Civilization," "Women of the Ancient World," "The Beginnings of Writing in the Ancient Near East," and our most recent lecture series, "Religion in the Ancient World." These recordings are available on either high quality 90-minute cassettes or 80 minute audio CDs (technically compressed when necessary), containing the entire lecture and most or all of the question-and-answer period, as moderated by Jerome Berman, Museum Director..."
